It's the Great Pumpkin (Farm)

Get ready for cuteness, people ...

Last Sunday Dad, Mum, and Shanon took me and Noa to a pumpkin farm! We rode the cow train, climbed on a bunch of pumpkins, played on the jungle gym, ate roasted apples with ice cream, and saw a bunch of chickens and ponies! Plus, of course, our parents took lots of pictures of us in funny hats.

I also hugged a pumpkin bigger than me. I really loved that pumpkin. I loved it so much, I got mad when Noa tried to hug it, too.

We didn't take home the big pumpkin, but we did get two smaller ones, and Mum's going to help me carve them next week. We also got pumpkin butter for my toast and a sugar pie pumpkin to make pumpkin pie. Num! Num!

Guess what last week was? My best friend Noa's first birthday! Her parents threw her a big party. There were balloons, and we ate yummy cupcakes. I liked helping her open her presents and playing with all her new toys, especially her cool toy stroller. I like to push it--and when my parents aren't looking, I like to stand on it.

I'm 1! (Cue Fireworks)

What a month!

Went to the zoo with Mum nearly every Friday
Attended my first concert
Learned how to clap my hands when I'm happy
Learned to talk on my phone and comb my hair
Took my first dip in the Green Lake kiddy pool
Started drinking from a straw cup
Developed a fondness for turtles and ice cream
Learn how and why to hug
Met my first pirates

What a year!

Was born
Outgrew my fellow babies in length
Learned how to control my body
Learned how to communicate
Learned how to eat
Met my extended family
Became BBFs with Noa and Emily
Flew on 13 planes
Traveled internationally

Swam in the ocean
Laughed, scowled, cried, and smiled
Grew sandy brown hair and 3 sharp white teeth
Crawled
Stood up

Yesterday I spent a special first birthday with Mum and Dad at home and the beach. Next Saturday I have the "big bash" with family and friends, including my Aunt Patti and Game Father Aaron, who are coming all the way from Minnesota to celebrate with me!

There's obviously one important person who's not here in person, but I know she's here in spirit. Here's to a fun, crazy, silly, and unforgettable year number two!

Szaba Goes to 11

That's right, I'm rockin' 11 months with my dad's old 45s, my sippy cup, lots of clapping, nonstop babbling, pull ups, and even a few stands.
